Tiny Ticks, Big Diseases
Ticks feed on your blood and that of your pets. They can transmit diseases like Lyme and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.
What can you do?
Check your body and those of your children and pets after being outdoors. When outdoors, it can help wearing repellent with DEET. In your yard, cut shrubbery and mow grass regularly. If you find ticks, use fine-tipped tweezers to remove them. if signs of an infection appear, like fever or a rash, contact a physician.
